At St. John Paul II Catholic Mission, we believe faith grows best in community. Whether you’re looking to serve, learn, pray, or simply connect with others, there is a place for you here. All are welcome, and every gift—big or small—matters.

St. John Paul II Youth Connect is a welcoming space for young people to grow in faith, friendship, and fellowship.

Meetings: Tuesdays 6:00 PM (after 5:30 PM Mass)

Who: Anyone is welcome

This ministry lovingly creates prayer-filled blankets and lapghans for local hospitals and those in need, offering warmth, comfort, and prayer through handmade gifts.

Who: Anyone who knits or crochets—or would like to learn.

Potluck: A simple and joyful gathering centered on food, fellowship, and community.

When: Second Saturday of each month, following the 4:00 PM Mass. Please join us!

Our parish supports Mercy House, serving those in need in Grainger County through outreach and hospitality.

We support St. Mary’s Clinic, which provides compassionate medical care in our region.

Rutledge Location: St. John Paul II Church Second Thursday of each month, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Washburn Location: Community Center First Wednesday of each month, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Our St. John Paul II Ecumenical Bible Study is open to all and focuses on Scripture, discussion, and shared learning.

When: Tuesdays at 4:00 PM

Current Focus: The Book of Acts and spread of the early Church.

Mass follows at 5:30 PM
